Presentation of the new book by Rev. Iordanis Poulkouras

On Monday, December 1, 2025, the presentation of the new book by Rev. Rev. Iordanis Poulkouras entitled “The Ancient Masonic Manuscripts – The Secret Texts of Freemasonry” took place. The honor of the foreword to the work was given by Rev. Rev. Ioannis Benetatos, who vividly highlighted the importance and contribution of the book to Masonic research and tradition.

The event took place in the packed hall of the YMS, at 30 Averof Street. Admission was free for the public, which allowed a multitude of brothers, friends and scholars to attend and honor the author, participating in an evening dedicated to Knowledge, Symbolism and spiritual quest.

A few words about the book:

The Unknown Texts of Freemasonry before the 19th Century. The Regius Poem of 1380, the Graham Manuscript of 1726, the mysterious figure of Naymous Graecus, but also an almost forgotten Papal Decree of 1326… In this book, Jordanes Pulkouras (literary pseudonym JP Craftson), brings to light the most important ancient masonic texts that constitute the roots of Freemasonry. With a clear, accessible and investigative perspective, he analyzes the origins of a Secret Art that remains alive to this day. How did we get from Euclid and Pythagoras to Athelstan, the Knights Templar and later Freemasonry?

What mythological and historical threads connected the Cathars, the Templars, the secret Brotherhoods, and the Guilds of builders of the Middle Ages? The new edition includes for the first time the complete Papal Decree of Avignon and the Graham Manuscript, along with explanatory commentaries, a chronology, and manuscript lists.

A landmark work that restores the research approach to the Masonic tradition. A book-gateway for those seeking the roots of the Secret Art, beyond myths and stereotypes.
