Today, we commemorate the 28th of October 1940 - a day sacred to the nation and a symbol of the indestructible Greek soul.
This day is not just a commemoration of a historical event, but a constant reminder of the power of Freedom, Unity and Faith in the values that underpin Hellenism.
From the light of that day and the heroes who glorified our country, we draw today the inspiration to consistently defend the ideals of Virtue, Justice and Fraternity.
The National Grand Lodge of Greece honours the heroes of the 1940s and all those who selflessly served the common good.
We renew our pledge to continue to work for a world free of prejudice, violence and division - a world where Reason and Light will guide the Human Path.
