He is associated with the quest for the mysteries of the world and understanding the deeper laws of nature. Wielding the trident (three-pronged spear), he reigns supreme over the waters.<br\/>\n<br\/>\nThe Square is an ancient architectural tool used to perfect and shape rough matter. For Freemasons, it serves as a symbolic guide, helping individuals examine and refine themselves throughout their lives.<br\/><br\/>\n\nThe Compass, another ancient architectural instrument, inscribes the circle. According to the ancient philosopher Pythagoras, the perfect circle is a divine symbol representing perfection, eternity, and the infinite cyclic nature of life. The circle, having neither beginning nor end, symbolises the union of the spiritual and material worlds and the unity of the cosmos.<br\/><br\/>\nThe Thyreos of the Piraeus and Aegean Archipelago Province combines Mythology with Freemasonry as the Mythical God surrounded by Gnomon and Diabetes, is paralleled with the mythical architect Hiram who represents the search for truth and perfection through work and dedication in the construction of the inner temple.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGREETINGS FROM THE SUPREME COMMANDER OF PIRAEUS AND THE ISLANDS OF THE AEGEAN ARCHIPELAGO\nPanagiotis Vlachos\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: rgb(89, 89, 89);\">\nThe Province of Piraeus and the Islands of the Aegean Archipelago, as the oldest province of the National Grand Lodge of Greece (NGLG), has played a pivotal role in the development and operation of the fraternity since its establishment. With three founding lodges and a continuous contribution to upholding its values and principles, it remains a cornerstone for the preservation and promotion of the brotherhood.<br\/><br\/>\nMasonic Lodges are spiritual workshops, and the primary responsibility of each Provincial Grand Master is to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted functioning of those within his jurisdiction while implementing the vision of the Grand Master.<br\/><br\/>\nThe dynamically expanding Province of Piraeus and the Islands of the Aegean Archipelago encompasses a vast geographical area, with a total of 17 symbolic Masonic lodges spread across its jurisdiction.
