MUSEUM N.G.L.G.

The Masonic Museum was established in 2006 On the initiative of the Βrethren of the oldest Lodge in Greece, PHOENIX CORFU, the Masonic Museum is housed on the second floor of the Lodge’s privately-owned building in Corfu, occupying a space of 70 square meters.

It hosts Masonic memorabilia, both from the PHOENIX CORFU Lodge, founded in 1818, and from older Lodges of foreign Masonic Powers that operated in Corfu from the late 18th century to the early 19th century.

A Rich Masonic Collection

Its rich collection includes relics from the Lodges PYTHAGORAS, SAN NAPOLEON, LA PAIX, BENEFICENZA, UNITED BENEFICENZA & FILOGENIA, PROGRESS, UNION LEFKADA, among others, such as old swords, porcelain dinner sets, aprons and jewels, diplomas, as well as many mementoes from the course of the PHOENIX CORFU Lodge from 1818 to the present day.

A highly significant exhibit is the unique original Constitution of the first Grand Lodge in Greek territory, the Serene Grand Orient of Greece, created by Dionysios Romas, along with his sword, and numerous historical documents from the rich historical Masonic archive of the PHOENIX CORFU Lodge.

Since 2013, the Lodge’s Masonic Museum has been a member of the International Association of Masonic Museums, Libraries and Archives.
